In every electoral year you hear about multiple voting, electoral tourism, mayors who use public resources for their own political campaign or stolen votes. Expert Forum gives you the opportunity to see how a polling station looks and to observe the whole voting process, from the opening to the end of the votes counting and the transmission of the results. You can help us report irregularities from the polling stations and stop electoral frauds.
In order to become an EFOR electoral observer you must be over 18, have the right to vote and not be part of any party or political entity. In order to be authorized you will need to sign a declaration in this regard.
We will offer you assistance during your presence in the polling station and we will guide you in case you need any help. We will organize a preparatory seminar for you and the other observers in the week prior to the elections; for the ones that are not from Bucharest, the meeting will be held on-line. Moreover, we will offer you an observer guide and an on-line application which will help you report the irregularities.
It is important to know that the activity is not paid and is voluntary. For the ones that are interested, we will offer practice certificates.
In order to sign up, please fill in the form from the EFOR web page (www.expertforum.ro/observator) as soon as possible. Once you sign up, you will receive all the additional information, including the form that certifies that you are not part of any political party.
The deadline is May 24 2016 (for those observing outside Bucharest) and 1st June for Bucharest, also for the arrival of the forms(the date of arrival at EFOR). The forms must be sent in original, by post at Semilunei Street No. 7, Apt. 1, Sector 2, Bucharest, for the Expert Forum Association or filed at the organization’s headquarters, Monday to Friday, between 10 and 17.
