ROUNDTABLE: The EC Rule of Law Report: Romania, Bulgaria, Italy and Spain

Expert Forum and Center for the Study of Democracy are pleased to invite you to the online Round-table discussion on the Rule of Law report, on 3 December 2020, at 10:00 CET, via Zoom.

The discussion will be focused on the policy implications of the Rule of Law reports on Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, and Spain, outlining the major challenges faced by these countries, as well as instruments and measures that could facilitate their reforms against state capture and corruption. The round-table will present the opinions and recommendations towards the Rule of Law of MEPs and local think-tanks, aiming at facilitating the EU and national efforts against state capture and corruption in the four countries.

The discussion is part of the SceMaps initiative, which develops and pilots a novel and innovative methodology for state capture diagnostics and assessments on sectoral level, combining big data analytics with expert evaluations and media monitoring data.
