{"id":5717,"date":"2021-05-24T13:18:40","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T13:18:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expertforum.ro\/en\/?p=5717"},"modified":"2022-01-20T12:27:38","modified_gmt":"2022-01-20T12:27:38","slug":"eu-election-integrity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expertforum.ro\/en\/eu-election-integrity\/","title":{"rendered":"European voters &#8211; together for electoral integrity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The overall aim of the project is to increase citizen participation in electoral processes in Europe.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project aims to empower European citizens to improve democratic electoral processes on local, national and European level and to protect the integrity of election processes in Europe as a fundamental human right of European citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project initiates a European citizens\u2019 dialogue on new challenges to democratic elections in Europe by setting-up a consolidated transnational network of European voters and election experts. In the long term, this network can play an important advisory and monitoring role to national election authorities and European institutions.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project involve partners from seven countries: <\/span>Poland, Hungary, Romania, Germany, Lithuania, Slovakia and Sweden. The<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Main activities that the partners will undertake until 2022 are the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Online research. As part of this project, we have developed a survey with the purpose of answering the following two questions: 1) What are the key issues across the EU that harm the integrity of elections? 2) What actions are needed to address these issues?
