A potential victory by George Simion, who has pledged to implement C\u0103lin Georgescu\u2019s legacy, raises serious concerns about derailing Romania\u2019s democratic trajectory and European course. The country finds itself in broader instability, with the prime minister resigning, increasing societal rifts, and deepening economic issues.<\/p>\n<p>This session will present findings from the Vot Corect Coalition\u2019s observation of the first round, which revealed ongoing challenges to transparency in campaign finance and failure to rebuild trust after the annulled 2024 presidential election.
