The Romanian electoral fiasco in November shocked both society and international public opinion, bringing to light chronic dysfunctions in public institutions that have come to represent a threat to the state and democracy. Beyond the sovereignist wave visible in other countries, Romania has particular vulnerabilities – and not only to manipulation on social networks.
The EFOR report analyzes why there has been such a deterioration in governance in recent times and what urgent measures need to be taken ahead of the May elections.
